RoomFourtyFour is a pioneering digital art collection inscribed entirely on Bitcoin via the Ordinals protocol. Character and concept by @TommyTwoClubs. Full artwork and visual design by @sk1399_. ‘Room 44’ emerged during the formative era of Bitcoin-native art, as creators began to explore the permanence and scarcity that inscription on the blockchain could offer. While most NFT movements had traditionally lived on Ethereum and other chains, ‘Room 44’ leaned into Bitcoin’s raw, immutable nature to deliver a bold artistic statement: art belongs on the hardest money in the world.

The project’s genesis came with a drop of 111 unique 1/1 Ordinals, airdropped to early supporters in November 2024. Each piece was individually inscribed on an uncommon satoshi, adding an additional layer of rarity to an already scarce format. This first collection was not just an art release—it was a cultural moment. The pre-sold collection was airdroped to early believers and a nod to the grassroots, community-centric ethos of the early Ordinals scene.

Today, RoomFourtyFour is considered one of the most culturally significant 1/1 collections on Bitcoin.
